About Zoe Royer

Zoe Royer is the Member of Parliament for Port Moody–Coquitlam, bringing a lifelong commitment to community, sustainability, and public service to the House of Commons.

Born in Scotland and raised in Canada, Zoe was inspired early on by her trailblazing parents—her mother, one of Canada’s first female OB-GYNs, and her father, a geophysicist. Their example instilled in her a passion for equity, science, and service that continues to guide her work today.

Zoe has called the Tri-Cities home for over 20 years. She and her husband Gaetan raised their family here—and built one of the region’s first passive-solar homes in 2009, reflecting Zoe’s long-standing dedication to environmental responsibility.

Before entering federal politics, Zoe built a career in healthcare administration and entrepreneurship. She founded and led a dental solutions company, and later co-created a family-run subscription business focused on stories and activities for kids. Most recently, she served as Strategic Growth Officer at Massive Canada Building Systems, a company focused on sustainable building innovation.

Zoe also has a strong record of public service at the local level. First elected to Port Moody City Council in 2011, she served three terms championing environmental protection, housing affordability, and local arts and culture. In 2022, she was elected as a school board trustee with School District 43, deepening her advocacy for students and families. Her work in municipal government included helping advance Indigenous reconciliation efforts and expanding community amenities.

In April 2025, Zoe was elected to Parliament as a member of the Liberal Party. She is proud to represent the diverse and dynamic communities of Port Moody, Coquitlam, Anmore, and Belcarra. In Ottawa, she serves on the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage and brings a collaborative, results-focused approach to national issues.

Zoe’s top priorities include building more affordable housing, taking strong action on climate change, and delivering meaningful tax relief for the middle class. She believes in pragmatic progress—supporting policies that work for families and small businesses while protecting the environment for future generations. Her approach is deeply informed by her background in health care, local government, and the small business sector.

Zoe is also a strong voice for compassionate health policy, mental health support, and safe, evidence-based responses to substance use challenges—drawing on two decades of experience in the healthcare field. She is committed to making federal programs more accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the people she serves.

Whether she’s hosting a town hall, meeting with local businesses, or advocating for constituents in Ottawa, Zoe believes in listening first and acting with integrity. She’s a community builder at heart—proud to represent a riding she loves, and determined to help shape a better future for all Canadians.
